New Book - 'Story of My Day'

Hi everyone

Life often feels like a whirlwind, and now I'm feeling it more than ever! The first part of the year is crazy where I have a few small shows and culminates with the big Australian Quilt and Craft Fair at Glebe Island. The second part of the year for me is all about being ready for the wholesale Quilt Market in Houston USA and the Trade Show at the Australian Quilt Market in Melbourne. It may not seem like much, but I know I need to design and create new projects to keep the ball rolling...something I love to do, but something which devours hours upon hours of my time. 

As part of my push towards Houston I am in the middle of working on a new self-published book. I will be giving you sneak peaks over the next few weeks up till October. The book will be called 'Story of My Day', and you guessed it, it is all about crazy day to day life. The main quilt will be a stitchery quilt which can also be done with appliqué. I am planning on creating heaps of other projects in the book that I will show you as I go. Pete is also back with ridiculous stories to amuse you with so I hope you will enjoy it. The book will be available in your favourite patchwork shop and through my website if you need.

Also to let you know I have also designed a range of fabric with Henry Glass Fabrics called 'All in a Day' which is based around my book. The fabric will be available Novemberish but I will keep you posted closer to time. Anyway, here is my first sneak peak from my  quilt.

Village Sewing Trio

Hi Everyone

I am still recovering from the show...such a fun time, but SO exhausting! Thanks to all who came to say hi...especially you Dimity (you know why!!)

I had a new pattern at the show which was the Village Sewing Trio, a small pattern, with instructions to make an oval pincushion, and a chatelaine with a scissor keep and needlecase. I was going to have a fabric version and woollen version in the one pattern, but it was all too hard, so in the end opted for two separate patterns...almost the same, just different instructions on how to applique

Martingale Press Competition

A while back I wrote a book called 'A Christmas Story'. It has now been released in the United States by Martingale Press as 'Seasons Greetings'. Christmas in July with Hatched and Patched Competition

Hi Everyone

I promised I would show my new patterns using my new range 'Under The Mistletoe'...so far two patterns are complete....

Mistletoe Garland and Table Topper - this pattern has two very easy projects in the one small pattern...very easy to make using the panel fabric and a couple of fat quarters.

Heart of Christmas - this one is an older pattern I have redone using the newer tones. It is a fun quilt/wallhanging with eight applique images and simple piecing. you could even just focus on one image and make a small wall hanging or use it as a feature on a santa sack, cushion, apron etc..
