WOW - what a weekend. I don't know how Kim (owner of Jukejema Quilting Barn and organiser of the Waters Edge Retreat) puts together 60+ women and has everyone get along SO well. The whole weekend was FULL of FUN and FOOD, with just a bit of stitching on the side.
So at last, for all of you who couldn't attend, here are my projects revealed -
Firstly my 'Live to Garden Bags' which were made using Pete's wool, and are just the right size to put your purse, camera, drink bottle, whatever in....
and secondly my 'Noelle Tabletopper and Cones', great for plonking the Christmas Pud' or bowl of nuts on and throwing some candy canes in the cones for a present or two....
These will be released as patterns in a week or so - just a little tweeking to do first.
The setting for the retreat was the gorgeous Waterslea Convention Centre just out of Nowra.... I think I'll have to be reincarnated as a duck and move here in my next life...
Kimmy (right) and Carol (left) made us all feel so welcome and cared for. You will see more (literally) of Carol in a post in a few days time - something for your eyes only (yes, sorry Carol, it just HAS to be shown)
The room was set for everyone to arrive with bags of patterns and boxes of gifts - can you believe that Kimmy's Mum Marg made EVERYONE a mobile phone cover!!???! AMAZING!
Janelle (Janelle Wind Collection) and Natalie (In Stitches) were also tutors for the day and had gorgeous projects to stitch and sew. I don't believe anyone was bored!
We all arrived on Friday night and everyone started stitching STRAIGHT AWAY into the wee small hours of the morning. People call ME obsessed, but now I'm not so sure..... I think these girls far surpassed me!! Maybe it was the amount of chocolate that was consumed. A frenzy to say the least!!
I will post more on the weekend soon
Have fun
Anni

Both patterns are just gorgeous, Petes wool looks great.
What is the fabric you used in the centre of the Christmas tabletopper?

Re: [Hatched and Patched] Robyn of Robyns Nest submitted a comment to Nowra Retreat
I always seem to use fabrics from everywhere, so in the centre of the tabletopper is some of Lynette Andersons Scandinavian Christmas, as well as Faith (by Moda), and some Japanese plaids.
