Pete and I drove with Sammii & Tim up to Mount Tamborine (about 1 hour south of Brisbane which means about a 12 hour drive) to enjoy the sunshine and do a few bushwalks with our friends Natalie & Trev, and their 3 children. We hired a house for the week with the most breathtaking views of the valley. Can you believe this is from the deck of our house!??!....
I can't say the weather was particularly kind to us. we had the fire on every night, and the afternoons were full of rain. This was perfect for Nat and I to stitch away, so YAY! I took a new BOM I am designing away with me, so here is a sneak peak of some of the stitching I was doing...
The mornings were usually fine, so we did get some bushwalking in...

One afternoon we hit the shops where all five children bought a pair of converse shoes .....
The way home was perfect one moment (had lunch at Byron Bay)...
and a disaster the next (it took an extra 5 hours to get home due to flooding)....
We are finally home after our big adventures. It is now sunny here and the blossoms are in full swing - spring has finally sprung!
Happy stitching
