Pete and I arrived back from Portland yesterday and we had a fabulous time. If you ever get a chance to go the United States, Portland is a georgeous part of the world. We had half a day to spare before setup at Spring Market and we found a Farmers Market just around the corner from the Hotel. It was full of delicious fresh produce and set in beautiful parkland complete with squirrels. Yes, we actually saw one, right in the middle of the city.
Look how green it is.
Even the asparagus looks tasty.
A lot of vendors would sell everything in these wooden buckets. Very cute.
We walked a block and found the oldest church in Portland naturally called 'The Old Church'. It was built in 1882 and is a gothic church made all out of wood. The carving and architectual features are brilliant. They were going to tear it down in the 60s for development but some locals saved it. Very cool.
Check out the shingles on the roof with moss at no extra charge.
More to come
