Hatched and Patched

....and now for some fabric....

I have been trying to keep this a secret, but I can't keep my lips sealed a moment longer, because last night, Pete brought home a large box filled to the brim with my own fabric range. It was SOOOOO exciting opening it up and seeing it for the first time....

Sorry, I didn't even take the sticker off before taking this photograph - oops. The range is called 'My Favourite Things' (well, actually Favourite is spelt Favorite - I guess that HAD to change, being an American company printing it for me), and was designed in partnership with Henry Glass Fabrics.

So, a bit more of a sneek peak.....

There are 8 different designs with different colourways, and..... QUILT LABELS!!!!!! WooHoo. As you might know I have had some issues with screen-printing my qulit labels for a while now, but now I have some IN COLOUR!!

I now have 3 weeks to create a quilt or two before heading off to Salt Lake City in USA for the wholesale show. Tonight I will be doing a LOT of planning - I may have to put a 'do not disturb' sign on my forehead while I play in my own little piece of heaven. I can't wait...

The fabric will be on show at the Quilt Market, but won't be available to purchase in-store for a little while yet - I will let you know when as soon as I know more.

Some Kind of Wonderful

My new book is almost done!! The final proofs have been checked and rechecked and now it is printing time - very exciting!!! The team from Kansas City Star emailed me the final cover choice last week, and here it is.....

... I hope you like it.

OK, it's finally time to reveal all the projects inside... I worked on 16 different projects for this book - a large quilt with 24 applique images called 'My Favourite Things', a simple daisy quilt, a pieced quilt, a stitched bag, a stitched purse (which I love most of all), a tablerunner, a cushion, a zipped sewing bag, a needlecase and pincushion, a heat bag, a travel document holder (another project I will get much use out of), a shoe bag and shoe stuffers, a punchneedle door hanger and an eye mask. If I had the eye mask here right now, this is what I would be using as it is time now for a leeeetle rest.... aaahhh....
