Pete and I have just returned from yet another show - the last for the year - at Melbourne. This show was just for retail stores, and both Pete and I were amazed by how many shops were there. The show was very positive and there was so much to see (more delicious fabric coming up). We were both on the understanding that there might have been talk of the economic downturn etc, but patchworkers must be positive, happy people - a truly great industry to be in!
I was asked by Pam, one of my bloggers, to make some new quick & easy patterns involving Christmas, but not involving woven wool or felt, as some of you may not like working with felt. So here they are!!! I hope you all like them! I designed 'Christmas Bon Bon', and 'The Christmas Goose', both small, and both with pre-printed homespun. The patterns (plus pre-printed homepsun) retail for $8.80 (Aust), or the 'Christmas Bon Bon' kits are available for $15.50 (inc fabric, thread, pattern, pre-printed stitchery and ribbon - sorry, no chocolate!!) or 'The Christmas Goose' for $17.50 (inc fabric, thread, pattern, pre-printed stitchery, metal handle, and ric rac). You can order the patterns or kits through our website or visit your favourite local quilting store.
I thought I would run a little competition and giveaway 3 patterns of each. What you have to do is email me - firstname.lastname@example.org - with your funniest Christmas story. The best 6 stories will each get one of my newest Christmas patterns. I will run it for about a week and I will draw the winners next Friday. Good luck!!
